Notice also the complete lack of parallelism in second sentence: "The course is rigorous, not appropriate for the unmotivated, those prone to procrastination, nor is it for the [faint of heart]."

Perhaps "The course is rigorous and not appropriate for the unmotivated, those prone to procrastination, or the faint of heart."

Or more concise: "This rigorous course is inappropriate for people who are unmotivated, who tend to procrastinate, or who want to learn to write well."

Um..."costumes" isn't misspelled. It's just a horrible font. Take a closer look at the U and you'll see that the serifs have crashed into each other, making it look like an O. So it's a design flaw, not a language one.

And please don't buy pirate costumes. You're only encouraging Disney to make more "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, something that should have stopped three movies ago.

Thanks, asshole, but that doesn't explain how a semicolon is like a woman with loose morals. Also, why not use your real e-mail address?

"explain to me how it works in this context"

Here's a concise explanation: <a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/personification" rel="nofollow">http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/personi...</a>

If you want a better one, any basic English writing class should be able to explain such simple language concepts to you.
