Good intent, best of intent: non-redundant ways of saying “good intention” or “best of intentions”, etc.
Examples
“Photographs of beam patterns are misleading even if we assume the photographer’s best intent.”
“I have no doubt Jim had good intent, but that ice-breaker thing he tried to start at lunch was ridiculous. This is a group of grownups who have voluntarily come to a social event; we are capable of socialising all by ourselves. It is not summer camp or some
corporate trust-building retreat thing, so let’s just please can the tell-us-your-name-and-two-embarrassing-things-about-yourself crapola, can we? Thanks.”
